DrillWell at SPE Bergen One Day Seminar

The 22nd SPE Bergen One Day Seminar was held in Grieghallen in Bergen 22 April.

This year, DrillWell was, together with Statoil, the largest contributor to the technical programme with 5 technical papers.

Among the papers from DrillWell, Fatemeh Moeinikia, presented "Essential Aspects in Probabilistic Cost and Duration Forecasting for Subsea Multi-well Abandonment: Simplicity, Industrial Applicability and Accuracy".

"It’s a fact that the oil and gas industry continues to be a major, central player in this area. Institutions within research and development, technology, and education are all strong contributors to the industry’s success in the region, and they are key to a most welcome influx of professionals from around the globe seeking work and settling in Bergen and its outlying areas", said the Mayor of Bergen, Trude Drevland, in her welcome speech.

"For 21 years, the SPE Bergen Section has organised the One Day Seminar to disseminate and exchange technical knowledge. Last year for the first time, the SPE Bergen One Day Seminar was an SPE paper conference, which elevated the event to a whole new status. We saw that the technical quality of the presentations reached a new and even better level, and national and international interest is increasing.", said Christine Madsen, Chair of the SPE Bergen Section.
