DrillWell at SPE One-day in Bergen

06.05.2016

SPE Bergen One-day 2016 was held in Grieghallen 20 April, and as always DrillWell and IRIS were represented in several presentations and e-posters through our research partners.

In addition to high-end technical presentations, the seminar featured a substantial exhibition and a full-day software demonstration. In the opening ceremony Mayer of Bergen, Marte Mjøs Persen, emphasized the importance of the seminar in times of oil price decreasing.

̶  Instead of painting a black picture, I want to paint a more balanced picture. This seminar is important for what we are experiences today. I hope, despite the current situation, you will be inspired for the future of the petroleum industry, she said.

Persen also touched upon climate changes in her speech, and said that the agreement in Paris was a step forward.

̶  Instead of seeing the Norwegian gas and oil production as a problem, I see it as part of the
solution. Here we can create new possibilities and transfer knowledge, she said.

For more information on the seminar see SPE’s homepage.
